Do you understand the concept of collectivism? Most people think it's about ignoring your own needs to focus on the needs of the collective. This is objectively wrong. They also believe that collectivism is the polar opposite of individualism. Also incorrect. The reality of collectivism is that what is best for the individual is best for the collective. Ignoring your own needs and desires isn't collectivism, it's masochism. You are a masochist. It's okay, a lot of us are, in different ways. One of the easiest ways to be a masochist is to confuse our wants with our needs. For example, you want money. As ridiculous as it sounds, you don't NEED money. I know, I sound crazy. Nine billion people can't be wrong. But they are. You don't have to believe me, but I'm right about this. You need oxygen, food, water, sleep, and to remove waste from the body. You also need to be happy. Giving up a need (happiness) for a want (money) is a form of masochism. Believing that money will make you happy, and in turn doing anything necessary, regardless of the price, is masochism. Do you feel happy when you look at your bank account? When you think about the people suffering because of that number? Oh, my bad, you don't think about that at all, do you? You believe in textbook capitalism. You worked hard for that, and the people suffering haven't worked as hard as you, therefore they don't deserve to be happy. Their misery isn't your problem. If they wanted to be happy, they would work as hard as you, right? Valid points. No, really. I get it. I agree, even. In the short term, at any rate. The concept is sound, but in the long term, and with no restrictions, it's unrealistic. You're destroying the things that built you life. No, you didn't do that on your own. Let's be honest. You're not so stupid that you believe that all your work succeeded 100% because of you, are you? Millions of people were involved in making all your work worth something. If those people refused to work with you, you would never have gotten where you are. Fact. You are useless without them. Without investors, who used the same tactics as you to get where they are, but also the little miserable people who use your product. Without them, You. Would. Be. Nothing. You WILL be nothing. But you'll probably be dead before you get to that point, right? It's not your problem. That's the challenge of people who understand collectivism. We need to make people like you, who don't understand collectivism, understand how you are not just poisoning the collective, but in doing so, you're poisoning yourself. What will make you see the big picture? The reality of what your actions are doing?
